This annotated panorama of the Torridon mountains is taken from the top section of Jack's "Sunset on Beinn Alligin" which you can see here.

Each peak in the view has been annotated with it's name & height, allowing you to get a sense of the immensity of the area.

One for mountain climbers to enjoy. Have you climbed Tom na Gruagaich, or perhaps stood on the summit of another peak on display? Or perhaps you have conquered them all.

It is a longer panorama, perfect for display above or below it's counterpart, Sunset on Beinn Alligin, or as a stand alone picture above doorways, windows, headboards or narrower spaces.

Available printed on canvas or as a fine art print.

Story From Behind The Lens

Jack Marris moved to Applecross in 2012 after extensively travelling across Scotland in search of dramatic landscapes to photograph. He fell in love with the northwest Highlands, and Applecross embodied everything he was seeking for photographic inspiration, making it the perfect location to launch his professional photography career.

In 2015, Jack opened the Applecross Gallery. Over the years, the gallery has grown, allowing Jack to build a small team and offer a wide variety of high-quality, sustainably made products, using local materials whenever possible.

Jack values quality over quantity and has a keen eye for detail in his work. Most of the images he captures are meticulously planned to take advantage of seasonal light and weather, often several years in the making. Many of his photographs require camping overnight on mountain summits and ridges, in all seasons, making careful planning an essential part of his creative process.

Print Guide

Hand-Stretched Canvas

At The Applecross Gallery, we use high-grade, UV-resistant canvas with a matte finish alongside a professional-grade 12-ink printer. This advanced technology captures the full tonal range and precise colour of Jack Marris' Highland photography, ensuring each piece has remarkable clarity and longevity.

Every canvas is hand-stretched in-house over durable pinewood frames crafted by local artisans, creating a unique, authentic addition to your decor. Your order arrives ready to hang, bringing the beauty of the Highlands straight to your space.

Floating Post Frames (Small Framed Canvases)

Floating post frames provide a contemporary way to display your favourite Scottish prints. The prints appear to "float" within the frame, giving a clean and modern aesthetic that enhances the artwork. These frames are a great option for those looking for a sleek, minimalist presentation.

Larch Post Frames (Medium Framed Canvases)

Larch post frames offer a rustic and unique way to display your favourite Scottish prints. Crafted from reclaimed larch fence posts, each frame carries its own natural character and history, adding warmth and texture to the artwork. These frames are perfect for those who appreciate a more organic, earthy aesthetic while supporting sustainable practices.

Size Guide

Canvases

Our panoramic canvases are designed to suit the wide Highland landscapes Jack photographs, helping to bring a real sense of scale and atmosphere into your space.

Small Panoramic (22x8 inches / 55x20 cm)

A smaller panoramic size that works beautifully in hallways, smaller rooms, shelves, or narrower wall spaces. These are also ideal as part of a gallery wall where you can combine similar Highland locations, colours, or favourite memories from Scotland together.

Adding a floating post frame to our small canvases increases the overall dimensions to approximately 25.5 X 11 inches / 28.5 X 64 cm.

Medium Panoramic (40x16 inches / 100x40 cm)

A versatile panoramic size that suits most spaces comfortably, particularly above side tables, desks, fireplaces, or smaller sofas, where you still want the landscape to feel expansive without overwhelming the room.

Adding a larch post frame to our medium canvases increases the overall dimensions to approximately 45 X 21 inches / 114 X 53.5 cm.

Medium Panoramic (40x16 inches / 100x40 cm)

A versatile panoramic size that suits most spaces comfortably, particularly above side tables, desks, fireplaces, or smaller sofas, where you still want the landscape to feel expansive without overwhelming the room.

Large Panoramic (60x22 inches / 150x55 cm)

At roughly the same width as a king size mattress, this panoramic canvas works particularly well above beds or two-seater sofas, creating a strong focal point while still feeling balanced within the room.

Extra Large Panoramic (80x30 inches / 200x75 cm)

Our largest panoramic format creates a much more immersive feel and works best on larger open walls where the full scale of the Highland landscape can really stand out.

Hand-Stretched In Applecross

Every canvas is hand-stretched in-house using premium materials designed to showcase the texture, depth, and detail within Jack’s photography.

Our canvases can also be complemented by our range of rustic locally crafted frames, including contemporary floating post frames or reclaimed Larch frames made here in Applecross, each with its own natural character and texture.

Fine Art Prints

Our archival fine art prints are produced on premium paper chosen to bring out the depth, texture, and changing light within Jack’s Highland photography. Every print is hand signed by Jack and arrives rolled in a protective tube, ready to frame in your own style.

Small Fine Art Print (20.5x8 inches / approx. 52x20 cm)

A smaller print size that works particularly well in narrower wall spaces, smaller rooms, or as part of a gallery wall alongside other Highland locations and favourite memories from Scotland.

Large Fine Art Print (33.5x13 inches / approx. 85x33 cm)

A more statement-sized print that suits most spaces comfortably, whether displayed above furniture, within a hallway, or as a focal point on its own.

Mounted Prints

Once size (Including mount. 20x17 inches / approx. 51x43 cm)

Our mounted prints offer a more compact, affordable, and versatile option, professionally prepared in-house and ready to display. Each mounted print includes a hanger on the back, allowing you to hang it directly on the wall without framing, while also working beautifully styled on shelves or bookcases.

They’re particularly suited to smaller spaces, gallery wall arrangements, or gifting.
