Applecross, or A’ Chomraich (The Sanctuary) in Gaelic, is a hidden gem nestled on Scotland’s remote west coast. Known for its dramatic landscapes, rugged coastline, and rich cultural heritage, the village is a haven for those seeking tranquillity and natural beauty. With a population of just a few hundred, it remains one of the most remote and untouched places in the Highlands.
Although tourism has brought new energy to the area, Applecross faces the challenges of a fragile rural economy. Like many Highland communities, we’ve seen friends and family leave in search of opportunities elsewhere. This has always been a driving force for us—to create meaningful work in our local community and to celebrate the unique spirit of this incredible place.
