Who is Jack Marris?
Jack moved to Applecross in 2012 after extensively travelling across Scotland in search of dramatic landscapes to photograph. He fell in love with the northwest Highlands, and Applecross embodied everything he was seeking for photographic inspiration, making it the perfect location to launch his professional photography career.

Larch Post and Floating Post Frames
Although our canvases can stand alone as finished pieces for your wall, we also have a variety of frames, constructed of local Larchwood. They are truly a part of Applecross having grown here, been milled here into fenceposts at the now defunct Applecross sawmill, and used to fence the Pine tree plantation on the Bealach na Ba which was felled a few years ago.

What Our Customers Say
- Great little find. Lovely people and nice offer of free coffee. Great photos taken that I would never have been able to achieve. Frames are amazing and back story behind their recovery from the plantations was lovely. Bought 2 pictures one of which was posted. Arrived in frame with excellent packaging. Picture is before I hung on wall!
- A wonderful gallery and a warm, friendly welcome with an offer of coffee as soon as we walked in the door! Some wonderful photography on display, produced at incredible quality onto beautiful canvases. If you’re in the area make sure to pay a visit.
- Spending time on the Applecross peninsula is a magical experience in itself but it was enhanced by my visit to Jacks Gallery, which I sought out after seeing his photographs. Jack and his canine companion Toivo give a great welcome! As well as giving folk space to browse , Jack is only too pleased to answer questions and to share details of how he achieves his photographs illustrated with footage. His work is quite exceptional and I am enjoying the image transferred onto canvas that I chose and looking forward to using next years calendar! Jacks pleasure in what he is achieving is clear and in all it was a heartwarming experience. Don’t miss it!
