Our canvas frames offer a modern and high-quality way to display your favourite Scottish landscapes and fauna. We print all our canvases ourselves in the gallery itself. Everything is fully colour calibrated to ensure the highest quality and complete consistency. We print on luxurious 280gsm canvas which boasts excellent sharpness, definition, and UV stability, giving you an archivial-quality print that won't fade over time.

One of the huge advantages of our hand-stretched canvases is that they have an inbuilt wooden frame. This means there is no need for expensive traditional picture framing, no reflection from glass and they are a fraction of the weight.

As they are so light, they are easy to hang and p&p is free for customers in the UK for orders of over £85.

Although our canvases can stand alone as finished pieces for your wall, we also have a variety of frames, constructed of local Larchwood, to add extra impact and rusticity.

Canvas

Stretching the canvas is done in the gallery by hand and requires a great deal of skill. After the canvas is printed and placed face down on the workbench, a kiln-dried pine frame is assembled to the exact size required and placed on top. The canvas is then stretched around this and stapled on the back. A hanger is attached and the canvas is ready to be hung.

Making everything as locally as possible means we are in control of the quality, we avoid excessive postage costs and we provide local employment. This means you get a better higher quality, better value print or canvas made in Applecross.

Larch Post Frames

Our unique frames are constructed of local Larchwood. They are truly a part of Applecross having grown here, been milled here into fenceposts at the now defunct Applecross sawmill, and used to fence the Pine tree plantation on the Bealach na Ba which was felled a few years ago.

You can actually see the very posts used in our 'Applecross Bay from the Bealach na Ba' picture

Floating Post

Floating post frames provide a contemporary way to display your favorite Scottish prints. The prints appear to "float" within the frame, giving a clean and modern aesthetic that enhances the artwork. These frames are a great option for those looking for a sleek, minimalist presentation.
